HBG®  Sahli Haemometer are used fo the determination of blood’s content of hemoglobin. HBG sahli Haemometer is a laboratory instrumentof detremine haemoglobin levels in the blood based on color units (Colorimetric). The method used is to compare the color of the blood sample with a standard red color. The color of the blood sample is obtained by seprating globin from hemoglobin by the addition of HCL (Hydrochloric Acid) to produce hematin acid whose color is measured by colorimetry. Haemometer is equipped with two non fading glass colour comparator. It is used for measuring Hemoglobin concentration in Blood by Sahli’s method.

The HBG® Haemometer supplied by MxRady as a complete set consists of:

• Polystyrene support with 2 colored rods and opal glass plate.
• Comparator tube.
• Hemoglobin pipette 20 μl acc. to Sahli.
• Silicone tubing of approx. 16 cm length, white mouthpiece.
• Dropping pipette with rubber teat.
• Stirring rod, Acid vial.
• Cleaning brush, Directions for use (Manual).

Pipetting by mouth is dangerous. Please ensure safety while using it. Read the instruction manual carefully.

The HBG® brand haemometer housing is moulded from thermo-setting phenol formaldehyde resin which makes it resistant to most laboratory reagents. It is also very convenient to handle, light in weight, and gives unlimited service.The permanent non-fading colour standards are made with optical precision for accurate and exact matching of colour. They are comparable with international master colour standards of hemoglobin values.
